The goal of the Dayton Police Department is to provide the

utmost professional police service to the community of Dayton.

We shall protect both life and property through the enforcement of the laws, preservation of public peace, prevention and detection of crime.

We are committed to assisting all citizens in an impartial

and non-bias manner. We are also committed to establishing and maintaining an interacting relationship with the community, and to gain public support in the constant improvement in the quality of life within our city.

As a police agency, we will strive to assist citizens professionally and enthusiastically with a commitment to meet their needs, as much as possible.

We as members of the Dayton Police Department take pride in our professional accomplishments and abilities.
